Young Jet was born Phillip Lyles Jr in Indianapolis IN., on January 12 1996. Following his father, Little Phil started playing drums when he was just 5 years old after getting a drum set for Christmas. He also developed a love for freestyle dancing around the same time after discovering Michael Jackson. Young Jet is highly influenced by Michaels dance moves. T.I. was his first introduction to rap and Young Jet became a big fan. Young Jet started making his own beats at age 8 when his dad bought him a fl studio 8. His first song was played at Skate-Land Skating Rink for his birthday at age 11 and he was hooked. Although his music did not take off as he expected, Young Jet has not given up on his dream.
