Dubbs
"Boss Musik"Band/artist history
dub, dubbed, dubbing v. to add sound effects to a motion picture or to a radio or television production.
Tyreece Sheffield also known as "Dubbs" is originally from Long Island, New York but has lived in Charlotte, North Carolina for 6 years. Growing up in a single-parent house hold, Dubbs has endured the hardships of going through his childhood without a father. It was at the age of 13 where he first came in contact with hip hop. "It was when I bought DMX's first album: 'It's Dark and Hell Is Hot'", Dubbs testifies. "That was a rapper's album. It had all the credentials of a true hip hop album. X told the stories of the struggle, gave us something to bounce to in the club, talked to the ladies, and kept it gutter and street the whole time." "I put that album on number 1 and let it play the whole way through." Although music had been a heavy part of Dubbs' life, it wasn't until he moved to Charlotte, North Carolina with his mother and sister. He began picking up the mic himself at the age of 15. Since then Dubbs has been working, recording and performing at local clubs such as "Hollywood in Charlotte" among others trying to make a name for himself Up to date Dubbs has released numerous including a solo effort "Show and Prove:The Mixtape" and has made guest appearances on other mixtapes which has gained a steady buzz for him. However you look at it this young lyricist is ready to lead the new era of young emcees head first into the music industry.

Your musical influences
My influences in the music industry include of course Busta Rhymes for his energy and intensity, DMX for his pain, hunger, and griminess, Jay-Z for his hustler-like mentality and his whole swagger put to together with a sick flow, Nas wisdom and story telling, 50 Cent for his consistency, and the late and great Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac, and Big Pun. Other influences include The LOX, Wu-Tang, Mobb Deep, Lil' Kim, T.I., Ludacris, Young Jeezy, Bun B, Lil' Wayne, Cassidy, Beanie Sigel, and Papoose. What equipment do you use?
