Grown Man Grown Man
Not since Tech N9ne has anyone given Kansas City a chance in the national music scene, but that all changed with XTA-C in the summer of 2003. After a brief hiatus, XTA-C is back with a vengeance and the tracks to back it up.
Band/artist history
XTA-C, C.E.O. and Chief Producer for Droppin' Platinum Entertainment, is no stranger to the hip-hop community. XTA-C has proven that he is the "next thing" out of Kansas City since Tech N9ne and the hottest artist out of Missouri since Universal's Nelly. XTA-C's first solo project, Ball'n, Play'n and Parlay'n, released in June of 2000 was picked up for regional distribution by Southwest Wholesale selling 5,200 units in the South Central Region of the United States without promotion. The next project that followed was the Killa Unit EP "Move In Silence" released in August 2002 and has sold more than 6,000 copies to date independently. XTA-C produced every song on the "EP" and has also done production work for major artists in the rap genre. At this time XTA-C has the #1 selling EP in the Kansas City metropolitan area. The hit single "So Heavy" has taken over Kansas City by storm and other markets such as: Omaha, NE - Tulsa, OK - Oklahoma City, Ok - Las Vegas, NV - Wichita, KS - St. Louis, Mo and Baton Rouge, La just to name a few. "So Heavy" has been the #1 requested song in the Missouri Club circuit as well as Oklahoma. XTA-C has a wealth of entertainment experience having opened for major recording artists such as Mystikal, Ludacris, Khia, The Ying Yang Twins, Lil Jon & The Eastside Boys, Snoop Dogg, Too Short, Da Hol'9, Lil Flip, E-40 and the Field Mob. XTA-C has a style of music like no other. His lyrics take you on a trip through everyday urban life while his tracks help you enjoy the ride.
