This is a project that Clay and I have been working on for a while now as we can make time. Clay is an incredibly talented volcalist, keyboardist, composer, arranger and all around great guy. From his stock bio:
"Clay has created original music and arrangements that have been featured on commercially released CDs, in theatrical productions, corporate videos, and in contemporary Christian projects. As a vocalist, Clay has opened for Marc Anthony, John Tesh, and has performed for Nancy Reagan. As an audio engineer, he has mixed, mastered, and produced projects for musical artists, public speakers and ministries in New York City and regionally. He specializes in surround sound, having created designs for both live theatrical events and audio productions. Clay was also the Technical Applications Specialist at Sherman & Sterling, serving as the liaison between the technology and marketing departments, writing databases for financial and marketing analysis. Clay has a Music Business Degree from West Texas A&M University."
For my part, I've been playing guitar for 30+ years, most notably with "Blind Justice", a heavy funk/dance/"pre-rage" band in the late 80s / early 90s, playing in NYC clubs The China Club, The Cat Club, CBGBs, The Black Cat & Danceateria, as well as many many more in CT and NJ. We made the cover of the 1990 CMJ, and showcased with The Spin Doctors, Lockup (Tom Morello's band pre-rage) and Pato Banton. We were also a featured band at the 1991 Volvo Tennis Open. (Singer Chris Keys from this band went on to form the band Gargantua Soul, and drummer Pete McNeil moved on to join the band Cake). The band had one release with the album "Sieze The Day", now out of print. Played in many bands in the area before and after that. I've since been doing a lot of studio work for various folks. I've also been working on another project called Mitchell / Clark with keyboard master Colin Mitchell and his vocalist wife Paula in the UK. Clay and I met up while he was working for resrocket.com/rocketnetwork.com, one of the first (the first?) online recording sites. Clay is the easiest singer there is to work with, and in my opinion also one of the best and most consistant, as well as a very accomplished keyboardist, composer and arranger. I hope we can add many more recordings here, and ultimately offer an entire CD of material
Band/artist history
Clay and I have recorded together for about 10 years on various projects, from the soundtrack to the off Broadway show "Praise Motion" to projects for various artists' that Clay has produced over the years. We did these tracks as we have had time, and are still working on these so the mp3s will update, and more to come.
