Los Angeles is the city of angels. Dreams come true every day in LA, but several others get crushed in the process. For the members of With Broken Wings, failure is not an option. Originally formed in 2002, drummer Steven Rodriguez, guitar players Larry Rodriguez and Jose Gonzales, bass player Christian Absi and then singer Larry Fernandez spent countless days in a sweltering hot reheasal space, mashing out the music that would become "Tonight is the night my hearts stops...". Recorded at Lovejuice Laboratories in La Habra, CA, the EP would showcase a head on collision of emo, hardcore, and punk influences. Engineers Luis Singh (who ahs worked with A Thorn For Every Heart), and Justin Powell (bass player for A Thorn For Every Heart) guided the band's production as they laid down the 5 hard hitting tracks. TITNMHS was the bands first release, growing more and more popular in the world of online media. Since it's release, the album has been downloaded thousands of times through various p2p programs and mp3 hosting sites.
To promote the release of the album, the band did a slew of local dates with several up and coming groups (A Thorn For Every Heart, Yesterdays Rising, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Jenoah). Their local fan base, though, is nothing compared to the fans around the world they've acquired through constant online promotion.
Several months, three lineup changes, and one decision later, With Broken Wings is back. With new Singer Jake Stark (ex Anias), new guitar player Johnathan Gaytan, and Jose Gonzales now on bass, the band has become an unstoppable force. Currently in the preproduction stage of recording, the guys have begun writing and demoing tracks for the next EP. Expect it to be out by the end of Summer 05.
