OK, others have echoed my thoughts on this as a song of love's deep pains; But as I listened, it was almost like I heard God singing this to his unwilling servants- those who claim to love Him and yet don't heed his voice. Maybe that's just because my thoughts generally run that way, but it was just "THERE", ya know?

This is sooooo great! I love the "Waylon" feel to it! Not that I'm pegging you as a Waylon imitator... not at ALL! I've listened to enough of your songs to know you have a wde range of flavors to your music, that are all your own.
I can hear some of the other influences, though, and having worked in Country Radio on the verge of the "young country" movement I am well-versed in old-school ways of the Outlaws who set the stage for others to come along and ride the tide.
As such, I cannot help but hear "other singers' stylings incorporated into others' music! I even hear a bit of Lefty & David Allen Coe, pulling at my musical soul1
