We grew up in Lorain, Ohio living it up in the PJs. It was the 80's and Rap was beginning to fill the streets. Me and Ice G built a rep on the DJ scene at the age 11 and have never looked back. Though we did do the sing along to our favorite rap jams we spent most of our time listening to and trying to repeat everything Jam Master Jay, Jazzy Jeff, and Grand Master Flash brought to the table.
We did not actually enter into the act of rapping until the 90's as we spent most of 8 years in the underground. From start to finish members of our group came and left as we started pushing towards a new direction. Darkside Media Productions.
Though we did not make it to the top, for every few do, we have earned the respect and admiration of all those we’ve came into contact with throughout the years. Darkside Media Productions is a steady developing organization always reaching for the stars. With our current staff of three producers and one director, we ways find ourselves swapped with projects. Anyone who lives in Lorain, OH and needing production work should defiantly give us a call. Musicians, singers, and writers always on staff.
We can be found playing in clubs from Ohio to PA. You can catch us live on Friday & Saturday nights at Pali's Night Club in Lorain. Our focus now is not really the spot light, we try to help those in the underground showcase what they have at the club. Anyone looking to make some local noise, this is the best place to start. If it's hot I'll put it in the rotation.
Our influences come from across the board. The feel is that old NWA flavor mixing up with Pac.
We are ways looking for new artist and producers to join our staff. I know we ahve alittle something for everyone. Though it may be difficult to schedule recording time with me, if your a hardworker we can always work something out.
