Solo guitar. Groove and improvisation oriented. Instrumental, repetitive and experimental.
Solo guitar player. Songs emphasize grooves, structure and simplicity. Songwriting relies on basic structures; repetitive with subtle variation, alteration of themes. Think Philip Glass without the musical genius but with more of a rock/jazz sensibility. The improvisation has one overarching rule, to avoid attempts at displays of virtuosity and instead concentrate on melody and form. Most of the improvisations display a form of progressing on themes also, with references to earlier motifs, altering musically and/or rhythmically and growing slowly yet steadily towards...whatever it ends up growing into.
