Download The Nasty Angels CD FREE FREE FREE from Prosity Records: Go on go on go on go on - go there and download music for free We are based in Newcastle Upon Tyne (North East England) and are often found hanging around open mic nights............The Earl Grey in Gosforth on a Sunday Evening (A Paul Jackson Spectacular), The Carriage - Jesmond on a Wednesday (this is run by The Runwells - the best band around in the whole universe) and a Sunday (The Dharma Banana - stalwarts of The Newcastle original music scene). If you'd like to hear more of the stuff we knock out, raw songs and the band practising, then have a look at the "music", please do. Bob Dylan is my top artist of all time and no-one will ever top Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited and Blonde on Blonde (all in one year man !) - not in my opinion anyway. If you have a different opinion you are welcome to it - but you are wrong ! I also love the songs of Morrissey (maybe it's because I'm from Manchester - where the King is Denis Law........) and Shane MacGowan. The Ian Siegal Band (www.iansiegal.com) are the gig I most enjoy these days - ALWAYS get to see them if you get chance. Mark Sandman and Morphine are a constant source of inspiration - love the sound they have. I have been involved with local bands since about 1978 and in all honesty, they have not amounted to very much and I conclude I am a slow learner - however - after a short but enjoyable spell trying to play drums in a friends band I realised that I enjoyed working on original material. I got 3 albums out on Prosity Records (www.prosity.blogspot.com) thanks to the legendary Dan Tindall an all time great pioneer of low cost Hi-Fi and original acoustic music - the music is FREE; some people seem to prefer paying lottsa money for shitbox albums by industry performers - my advice "do like Bob says - when you see a crowd go the other way !" and go to Prosity (well Bob didbn't say that last bit but I'm sure he would approve)

Lyrics
Grandpa was painting the night sky - but he’d run out of black And Grandma always carried a garden fork - in case of a dog attack Robby was fuelling his rocket - he said he’s never coming back Marie was putting on make-up - all the mirrors were cracked And Lucy came to see me that night - in motorcycle leathers She said that things would be alright - but it wouldn’t last forever I thought that she might be a ghost - but I didn’t like to ask She’d leant her bike on the lamppost - in case she had to get away fast So here I am at 4am - with a head full of new ideas I need someone to photograph them - before my memory clears And I’m still obsessed by flying - and I can’t work out why Spend my days chasing rainbows - across the night sky I remembered the number of a friend - on the telephone But his wife said he was at Lands End - and she was all alone She invited me over for coffee -but a ship was coming in The bridge was closed indefinitely - and it was too far to swim I sat downstairs in the kitchen - forgetting lines of songs And I couldn’t even sing them - the tunes all sounded wrong But there’s an all night DIY store - where I like to spend some time They got golden taps and silver baths - and ladders I can climb They front and back and side doors – and ladders I can climb I like to write drug songs - it keeps me occupied But I never use any drugs - the street value is too high And so I need some money – And I like to fill in time I got a job at the company - signing on dotted lines I got a job in the city – working for Mr Nunk He said he had financial activity – and he’d cut me off a chunk I got an office and a secretary – she was mean and smart She sucked out my eyeballs – and typed across my heart And I was talking to the president - at a political convention I said I was a naturalist - and trees were my invention He said he needed a guy like me – in case the worst thing happens He put me in charge of the ministry – of non-offensive weapons And the King Of Vigo crossed the skies - In a Ford Cortina E He’d been condemned to drive around - for all eternity But his legal team behind the scenes - were working on appeal They figured they could cut his time - and make some money on the deal I’m in the North Atlantic – jumping from wave to wave I’m trying to avoid the women – who want to be my slaves Well I blame their parents – never taught them to behave I’m gonna return in disguise – and change my name to Dave I was eating olives and anchovies – and drinking beer And now I’m in the land of nightmare dreams – my mind is full of fear I wrote to a problem page – but the advice was not sincere So I phoned for an ambulance – to get me out of here But I got bad news for you – I died this afternoon And if you don’t believe in ghosts – you can’t hear this tune This is the time of life – where memories cut like a knife I left all mine on Highway 99
