Story behind the song
August 2001. Hard Days Night wav files from the internet saved me from the chore of having to write lyrics here. I knew I needed some words to go with the song, but was having a mental block as far as writing. The song itself developed from the bass line which was the first one I created with a bass guitar. From there, the rhythm and other guitar parts filled in. This was, in my opinion, where I hit a new plateau in my songwriting. The most complex and layered song to that point. The parts all still sound good even though I have gotten better at recording and mixing. this was created on Cool Edit Pro SE, using the BR-8 as a high-falootin’ mixer, sound processor. All songs after UGB were recorded using the same setup.
