The Clay County Ramblers are two members from the now defunct Rodeo Queen. Skid Severson and Bill Rasmussen are the core group with a rotating cast of friends who have the time to lay down a track or two. Previous and hopefully future players include Mark Perrodin/Bass (Sidewinders, The Sand Rubies), Cathy Rivers/backing vocals (Wonder Twins, Rodeo Queen, Little Black Cloud), and Julia Groves/drums(Topless Opry, Solid Donkey, Clovenhoof).

Story behind the song
A typical day at work with a pointless meeting with the owner of the company got me saying to myself, "I'm gonna kill someone!" On my way home that day I started humming a tune which led to words and by the time I got home twenty minutes later I had a complete song that I had to rush to write down before I forgot it! Skid Severson - acoustic guitar/vocals Bill Rasmussen - lead guitar Mark Perrodin - bass Julia Groves - drums Cathy Rivers - backing vocals
Lyrics
Sittin’ and drinkin’ at the end of the bar I looked out the window, saw her red car There beside her where I ought to be With his hand up her skirt was some S.O.B. Chorus I’ve got someone to kill If I can’t have her love, then no one else will It’s me she’s mistreatin’, this wound just won’t heal I’ve got someone to kill They were both in the alley, embraced, mouth to mouth I pulled out my shotgun, she started to shout I pulled back the trigger, shot that man down And said to my darlin’, “yours is the next round” Chorus I’ve got someone to kill If I can’t have her love, then no one else will I’ve made up my mind, it’s blood that will spill I’ve got someone to kill Solo Verse progression Now I drug both their bodies, down to the tracks Even if I was sorry, I couldn’t bring ‘em back The whistle starts blowin’, I see the bright light And now that it’s over, I’ll sleep better at night Chorus I’ve got someone to kill If I can’t have her love, then no one else will She can’t do no cheatin’, their bodies lie still I had someone to kill It’s me she’s mistreatin’, this wound just won’t heal I had someone to kill
