Sunday Morning and I ain't got no milk!
The Clay County Ramblers are two members from the now defunct Rodeo Queen. Skid Severson and Bill Rasmussen are the core group with a rotating cast of friends who have the time to lay down a track or two. Previous and hopefully future players include Mark Perrodin/Bass (Sidewinders, The Sand Rubies), Cathy Rivers/backing vocals (Wonder Twins, Rodeo Queen, Little Black Cloud), and Julia Groves/drums(Topless Opry, Solid Donkey, Clovenhoof).

Story behind the song
As usual, break ups always provide inspiration for a song and this is no different. But I was actually brainstorming with Cathy Rivers about writing a new song and had writers block. So I talked about my feelings and she wrote them down, after about twenty minutes i had ideas for about three songs. Skid Severson - acoustic guitar/vocals Bill Rasmussen - pedal steel Mark Perrodin - bass Julia Groves - drums Cathy Rivers - backing vocals
Lyrics
The bands been kinda lazy My guitar can’t find a tune My life’s been so damn empty All I think about is you I got a whole lotta nothin But a handful of time I’ve done a lot of thinkin Hoping you’re still mine And the cows ain’t come home And neither have you No milk for my Cornflakes And no love from you Sure do miss your cookin Cause mine don’t taste the same I look out the kitchen window And know I’m to blame Please help me plastic Jesus Prove to me that you’re real Bring her back this gray Sunday morning To this sad house on the hill And the cows ain’t come home And neither have you No milk for my Cornflakes And no love from you From you From you From you From you From you
