With the main studio lights tuned off, the only lighting was provided by a few Lava Lamps and candles. This Jam was recorded by The Lazarus Ladders, very late one night after an exhaustive recording session. The tapes were just left rolling...

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
The Lazarus Ladders, left to their own devices were on a high...(in more than one sense of the word). The darkened room, the joss sticks and the almost overpowering smell of 'grass'... the creative juices were flowing during this remarkable recording session.
Lyrics
"Turn on, tune in, drop out". this and other choice extracts from the chief 'Head' himself...Timothy Leary and others...

Wonderful Floyd vibe on this - Meddle or Atom Heart Mother - I think it's the Rick Wright organ that really nails it. Outstanding!

Thanks guys and gals...at this point in time... 1967/68, The Lazarus Ladders skies were green, blue, pink, orange, purple and all shades in-between. Thanks for listening and leaving such wonderful comments. The Ladders would appreciate it. Groovy and far out people.

nice groove, you're also the master of the 'telephone eq'... I can learn a lot from you. As I suspected, you've gone Trippy Trippy Mr Whippy... what an awful time not to be still able to smoke marijuana. Me lungs. A life of Rock N Roll living. Oh well, no bother, I'm getting a contact high off of this record. Definitely getting the flashbacks now... or flashforwards... yeah. probably both. definitely both. I am eggs of all persuasion. I am the chrome dinette.

Like what you are doing with the fake band concept. Very realistic to the period. Some really nice riffing. You have excellent tone. Sounds like you are having fun.

You have a great imagination and bring out these great musical stories . Brilliant !
