Story behind the song
Recently been writing and pondering the 'what if?'s of the Bioshock multi-verse. I wrote a v short piece with Booker DeWitt as 'Brooke DeWitt' and Elizabeth Comstock as 'Elijah Comstock'. Would it matter that the protagonist is a woman and the 'damsel in distress' a boy instead? That got me to thinking, what song would be played instead of 'Girls just wanna have fun' during the scene at Battleship Bay? I think this song is a good alternate, as it also ponders the what if about Elizabeth being male in one of the infinite realities. It's not even nearly my preferred style of music but just seemed... right. :)
