I'm a songwriter and musician originally from New Orleans. The variety of music and culture in that city shaped my musical leanings. So I am interested in a number of genres but my foundation has been the blues, which I studied informally when I was in school in Mississippi. I played in various cover bands and now mainly write and record on my own in my home studio. The studio is on hiatus while I transition to a new home in Ft Lauderdale.

Story behind the song
An old high school and college friend recently lost his battle with cancer. His passing affected a number of people who mourned his loss but also celebrated his memory. This song just flowed out simple and direct as it is, is about Ty and all of us, for which this world is a brief time.
