IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE
I'm a songwriter and musician originally from New Orleans. The variety of music and culture in that city shaped my musical leanings. So I am interested in a number of genres but my foundation has been the blues, which I studied informally when I was in school in Mississippi. I played in various cover bands and now mainly write and record on my own in my home studio. The studio is on hiatus while I transition to a new home in Ft Lauderdale.
Band/artist history
Please see my website at bigeasye.com I am also on Spotify and most streaming sites as Big Easy E I also create my own music videos which can be found on my Youtube station: Bigeasye2011
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I have played open mics, battle of the bands, various bars with cover bands. I have not performed my own music live except acoustically on Facebook Live. I am open to opportunities to perform my music live if the situation comes along.
Your musical influences
I listen to and enjoy almost anything musical. The first thing that hit me was rock music, then the blues. Funk from the 70's, soul from the 60's, classic country, anything with guitars. I love jazz and try to work on that when I can.
What equipment do you use?
My Fender Stratocaster has been my guitar for many years, later I bought a Gibson Les Paul . I sold a cheap classical guitar which I wrote with and played on. I intend to buy another because it is a totally different instrument. I also have a Kawaii K-1 keyboard and record using Cubase with a Presonus converter and Universal Audio Solo 610 pre-amp. I do everything DIY for monetary and control reasons.
Anything else?
Thanks for checking me out. I appreciate any feedback. Thanks.
