A Classic Rocker. The idea was to do a Prelude in the same way a Prelude starts Suite Madam Blue by Styx.

Classic rock redemption. AvMo and his Les Paul bring classic rock meets folk jams.
Welcome to the new sound of 70s classic rock music, AvMo style. I have been writing music since I was 16 years old and my grandmother would tell me to “keep it down!” Today, I am turning all my classic tunes over to the glorious listeners on the internet to enjoy - hopefully you like it better than my Nona! My greatest inspirations when recording are classic rock bands such as the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Eric Clapton and Styx. Their music has provided a soundtrack to my life, from my days as a basketball player in high school to the old rocker I am now! I am launch a new EP this summer called “Bittersweet” which is my take on the theme of love through different rock genres and angles. My son challenged me to come out with a sick EP and I think I have. Can’t wait for you all to discover it. AvMo

Story behind the song
This song was written in the late seventies when a friend dear to me left Montreal and I finally recorded it properly. The drums were played and recorded in two sessions at Dave Mosher’s Studio Lazarus. The bass track was provided by Lloyd Dallaire and the guitars vocals and mixing were done at Studio Loco in downtown Montreal. This is my best recorded track by far. A great big thanks to Lloyd and especially Dave for helping me out.
Lyrics
Where are you now my best friend? You’ve left me to sink, like a stone in your ocean. Where are you now my best friend? Were all your words of love, given without a thought? I didn’t expect much, my best friend. But the least, you didn’t show. Where are you now my best friend? It’s not too late, you should know. And I’m waiting, for you, But I don’t see you my friend. Buddies forever, Think about that for a moment Blood in blood, hand in hand, Where are you now my best friend? Too sorry to be counting on you, But I need you to pull me through Where are you now my best friend? Oh where, where are you?

Very good composition. Loved the chord progressions. The recording sounded very clear with all instruments at the right level. I like the style of having a prelude a la Styx. This song definitely has that Styx vibe to it but also reminded me of Uriah Heap and Wishbone Ash. Well done, I liked this a lot! Stuart Allan

Good stuff! I think the vocals came out nicely and the drums sounds really good. I also like the electric guitar thrown in the middle, gives it an edgy feel. Overall, the studio quality sounds really nice, makes for a good listen Keep on rockin
