Gospel/Christian Bible-based songs
Music has always been a special joy to me. While still a child I enjoyed classical guitar and piano lessons. While growing up I had opportunity to play for our church youth group. More recently I have begun to write songs. They vary widely in style and are not confined to any one genre. My goal is to please the One who is the song-giver; to honour Him in all I write and play. It is my sincere desire that the Lord uses the music I write to draw people closer to Himself. Wherever you are at in relationship to God, may this music touch your heart and be a blessing to you.

Story behind the song
The apple of my eye Originally meaning the central aperture of the eye. Figuratively it is one's favorite person; the one you love most, someone, cherished above others. In Old English, the pupil of the eye (the round, dark center) was called the 'apple'. It was thought that the pupil was a round object much like an apple (a piece of fruit). When you look at someone, their reflection appears in your pupil. So if someone is the 'apple of your eye', he or she is someone that you look at a lot and enjoy seeing. It also appears several times in the Bible; for example, in Deuteronomy 32:10 (King James Version) He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. and in Zechariah 2:8: For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. Based on Psalm 139
Lyrics
Verse 1 Who can count the grains of sand on all the shores of this whole world? Who can number all the stars calling each by name as night unfurls? Only God the Lord, maker of the land and sea. Only God the Lord, creator of you and me. Pre-chorus God is thinking countless precious thoughts of me every hour of every day. Before my mother found I was to be, He knew my name and all my ways. Chorus Can it really be, oh, can it really be? that God the Lord Almighty should think of and care for me? Oh what a priceless treasure far beyond all measure that God pursues and keeps me as the apple of His eye. Verse 2 Who is present in the deepest sea and from heaven to hell below? Whose eyes can see in darkness what others need light to show? Only God the Lord, maker of the land and sea. Only God the Lord, creator of you and me. Bridge No matter where I live God is holding onto me. All praise to Him I give, for all His works are wonderful; I see. Repeat Chorus 2x Ending: God pursues and keeps me as the apple of His eye!
