Up Till Dawn
Emo rock, in it's purest form, since the songs are pretty much whatever is floating around inside Richard's head. It sounds much better thanks to Ness, Jimmy,

Silly Crush Silly Crush
I had to write a song about this at some point. It is acoustic, and totally not what this band is about, but hey... it's two in the morning.

Hey! Hey!
Apprehension is a burden that many of us know, but few of us can manage. I am not the one who can manage it, but God is.

One More Day One More Day
A rocking song inspired by the fight we face against hatred and anger in our lives every day.
Hey, remember the band 35 Pennies? Neither do I. Remember Ignite? That's what I thought. Well, now this band is either 35 Pennies with a new singer/songwriter, or Ignite minus a piano player and constant pressure to "play softer". Yeah, I am Richard, and I write and sing the songs and play acoustic guitar... which is hardly ever needed. Ness plays the Electric, Jimmy slaps the bass, and Eric beats the living daylights out of everything... which is why we gave him sticks and a drumset. Enjoy the music.
Band/artist history
Eric, Ness, and Jimmy were in a band called 35 Pennies, and played in the youth praise and worship band at our church, long before I came to Kingsville. When I got there, I had only been playing guitar for a few months, and these guys amazed me. I have to say that jamming with them is something that never gets old. We were all part of Ignite, the youth praise band, which was really fun when we weren't being told to play softer and keep our volume set at 1 or 2. I joined when I was a freshman in college, since they needed help and I liked the idea of being an "adult leader". Yeah, I am about 2 years older than them. Anyway, that band kinda died soon after I left to help at my hometown church, and so we hadn't jammed in a while. I have another band called Beyond Us on here, that me and Eric jammed in with a friend of ours, but it was also pretty constrained. We all met up a few days ago, and decided to "throw a jam session" together... and it was like a good old shoe, it just fit right.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Well, we had before under the previous band names and under different lineups... We played at a bunch of youth events back in the day, and we loved it. I guess I didn't come early enough, cause these guys always talk about the old days, when all kinds of stuff happened... oh well, this is a new day, and we will rock it for the only One worth rocking for.
Your musical influences
Travis Barker, Arnie Silva, Roel Bueno, Victor Wooten, Lost Prophets, Story of the Year, Relient K, Switchfoot, Yellowcard, David Crowder, Sergio Barerro, John Perez, and your nightly news.
What equipment do you use?
at this point, a 5270 AV Cassette Recorder, easily found at your local Goodwill store, or stolen from your local school district (note: we do NOT condone stealing old things from your local school district!). A Marshall Half Stack with a '69 Fender American Strat, a Cruise bass and a Washburn acoustic running through a Kustom amp to a JBL speaker, and a Pearl Export Series drum set with bunch of awesome stuff that our friend and "other" drummer Steven "Jerk Alert" Pina was awesome enought to let us use. Be on the lookout for dual drumset shows sometime in the not too distant future!
Anything else?
Richard needs a chick. Literally. I want a baby chicken. They're so darn cuddily! And Eric farts too much. Don't feed the Eric. Jimmy seeks God, not girls. For now. As in the last few hours. Let's see how long this goes. Eric says um. Ness says "snore", cause he is sleeping at his house like a sane individual. And I say good morning, cause, as our name states... we are up till dawn.

Cool stuff. I like all the stuff, even though, yeah, the quality is about as good as Jessica Simpson is ugly (awesome simile, huh?) Check my band's music sometime. I hate to admit it but, our quality is equally as bad. (well maybe I'm exagerating, no offense.)
Killer tunes dude. You gotta get a better recorder than that cassette player you stoled...borrowed from M.H.S. Other that that...great.
Hey...good tune. Sound quality could be better, but good tune.
Keep your head stoned
you got me rollin', your intro page is hilarious!...
'bout the music,
The sound quality sucks, but i shouldn't really say much cuz my sound quality is lousy too, but man i enjoyed it regardless, the second song, rockin' to turn the hate wave, FREAKIN'! YOU HAVE A KICK-NINJA-BUTT DRUMMER, and
the bass Is SOLID, you're electric filler riffs are RIGHT, bAM in YOUR face..try zoom to like 1 min and 52 seconds..i love that part of the song...jus' that small riff section is WOO HOO, anyway you can see i'm excited, that song got me all riled up..
& the vocals, can't hear the word pro-nunc-she-a-tion, but no need...can feel what you're sayin more than hear it, but thats life sometimes, understanding w/out hearing, or maybe thats just a dumb cliche, AND maybe your whole junk sound quality recording is a metaphor for the underground christian rock/punk/emo scene screaming at the top of their lungs but not being heard completely.. then again pry not. i'm weird. anyway. Best of luck: keep r
Awesome! Letty found the message board! Okay, so for anyone else who come onto here, I will leave updates on here... we are kinda off for this week, at least until we are all back in town (on the 10th). I am at a loss... I don't really have any inspiration to write the great american love song that every band needs to complete their set, so if you have any ideas or poems or anything (this goes for the other members of the band or anyone else out there), feel free to share em! Okay, until next time, be blessed!
