What is the aural equivalent of scribble? UKOR's sound emanates from unique handmade, traditional, and modern instrumentation. Our musical scribble excites astonishment and improvisitional groove via our method of exposition.
Band/artist history
Formed in 1991, UnKindness Of Ravens (UKOR) initially experimented with sound as a method of group consciousness modification. Over time, these experiments coelesced into the formation of a new practice in music-making. UKOR recordings include the sounds of many individually-crafted and unique instruments, some recurring on different albums, some not; recordings also include traditional instruments and modern devices but never include material sampled from non-band created sources. UKOR's music has no samples and is not collage. Our creation--musical scribble, is a blend of the excitement, astonishment, and groove in improvisition with our method of reverse composition, which we call exposition. Our third album will be released in late August/September of 2003.
