TY SCOOT OCT. 10, 1986 APRIL 16, 1986 CAMDEN, NJ CAMDEN, NJ Ty & Scoot Born and raised in Camden, NJ the Murda Cap Ty & Scoot have seen first hand what drugs, poverty and crime can do to a city and its people. Their passion for music and the city have helped them create music which represents the truth about living in the hood. Laid back, Scoot, the spokesman and Ty the battle rapper of the duo formed an alliance early in life. The two have been friends since elementary school and in the summer of 1999 they realized their passion for music and have stood together as a team since then. We can hear the same beat, write our lyrics and put a song together, the song blends together like we were one, because we think alike, we are two of a kind. Their career began recording demos on an old karaoke machine in their bedroom with a group named Legend who later changed their name to the E.O.S. (Enemy of the State). It was crazy back then, we did not know what we were doing, but we kept on doing it. The group didnt stay together long. Were still friends with all those dudes and give them much respect. After graduating HS in 2004 Scoot went off to college on a basketball scholarship and Ty who graduated in 2005 continues to work. Scoot and Tys short lapse from the group infused their hunger. During the summer of 2005 they realized the only way to do this was to start from the bottom and work their way to the top. Marketing 101 was their philosophy so, they flooded the city with copies of their CD titled Straight Outta Camden, It was a long, tiring job, but in the end they gained the respect of the city. .
