Truth Street is based out of the “ROC” in New York. The group is made up of the duo, Drama “the prince” and Mystery. They have been performing and producing hit underground CD’s for the past 6 years up and down the East Coast. Truth Street’s sound is a combination of some of the tightest and most talented lyrics laced over hot beats with catchy hook sections. They have caught the eyes of some of the industries finest, landing them a number of Ghost writing opportunities. This past year Truth Street signed with the independent label Spherical Records LLC, based out of Tampa, Florida to produce their first major distributed Album, and to add some additional ghost writing opportunities. The group’s first album release under Spherical Records, “Welcome to our Block,” is scheduled for release on June 15, 2004.

Truth Street has had the opportunity over the past years to ghost write for a number of well known artists as well as contribute to a number of remix albums. With the impressive lyrical content in their music, they turned some heads with their writing capabilities and began what has been a very successful ghost writing endeavor.
In 2003, Truth Street began to miss making the music and signed to Spherical Records, to begin production on their first album in 2 years. Spherical Records had a number of ghost writing opportunities also available, and allowed the members of Truth Street to do what they loved best, write and create music. The future looks extremely optimistic and the expectations for this duo are very high. Expect to see these two, or at least one of their songs at an award show in the near future.Have you performed in front of an audience?We do live shows throughout the Northeast, mostly opening for larger name acts. It's the biggest thrill in music. We have some tentative dates with some well known acts in the second half of the year.
Your musical influences
Our influences come from all types of music and poetry. Artists that we have grew up on and the ones who inspired us to do this are; Tupac, Biggie, Jay-Z, Mobb Deep, of course Dre who changed the way Hip Hop and rap are today.
