Sometime After Midnight

A song for anyone who has ever served to defend the United States of America. Without the troops out there fighting for our freedom I wouldn't be able to follow the dream.
Trey Jewell is proud to be sponsored by: Rising country star Trey Jewell is a singer/songwriter born and raised in the prolific musical environment of Memphis, TN. Trey came by his musical interest honestly as he followed his fatherâs career as a solo artist and as the tenor/lead in the southern gospel quartet Call to Worship. Treyâs family and friends recall he came into this world hardwired for music. At the tender age of 12 Trey discovered his motherâs student guitar and seemed to innately understand the instrument. Having already performed in church and with his dad, the combination of guitar and vocals gravitated quickly to songwriting. At the age of 13 Trey penned his first song âœBlue Riderâ쳌 which many of his fans still acknowledge as one of his greatest compositions. Writing beyond his years, Trey honed his skills to produce haunting melodies to showcase his lyrics which drive home the pain of a broken heart and the joy of love. At 14, Trey assembled his first band and self-produced his demo âœThe Acoustic Setâ쳌 including 5 original songs. This demo was later expanded into a 10 song collection released in November of 2006. That was when Dad decided it was time to head 200 miles east to Nashville to help Trey pursue his dream. The very first day Trey hit Nashville, he was showcasing his talent everywhere he went with his dad on his left providing harmonies that only come from close family. They were quickly noticed and asked to record Treyâs Nashville debut CD âœAll Roads Lead to Youâ쳌, released in June of 2007. It has been an eventful experience since the CD release party in Music City USA. Trey has performed at several venues opening for platinum selling recording artist David Ball, Rio Grand, Rick Monroe, and The Flat River Band in addition to headlining at Hard Rock Cafà on Beale Street in Memphis and The Legendary Beach Wagon in Myrtle Beach, SC. One of the 2008 highlights was making many new fans and performing at Whiskey Island and Cadillac Ranch during CMA Fan Fest in April. These performances helped Trey secure an investor and a producer for his next project to be released in the near future. Treyâs music continues to be played worldwide as he gains new listeners through radio play, treyjewell.com, his MySpace, and his high-energy live shows.

Your musical influences
As far as stage presence I've tried to model my show after Garth Brooks; high energy, crowd participation, large variety in songs and even genres. Vocally I'm not entirely sure I've basically just made everything my own I've had producer's in Nashville and as far as Texas tell me that I sound like Trey, which I think is a good thing because there's already a Toby Keith out there or a Garth Brooks or an Alan Jackson out there the world doesn't need another one.
What equipment do you use?
For speakers Peavey all the way. I've been using Peavey speakers since I started my first band practicing in a garage. The guitar has to be a Samick (preferably a Greg Bennett Design model). They play great and they don't cost an arm and a leg.
