Band/artist history
Side A of T.A.P.E., Traq is responsible for producing the beats. Well-known for his range; touching west coast, east coast and down south bangers, he has distinguished himself as an ecstatic producer with much creativity and swagger. Traq has over 7 years of experience, producing beats, under his belt. From mixing down vocals, to developing a song in the studio with the artist, Traq takes a personal interest when working with his clients. Graduated class of 2004 from Seattles Franklin High School, home of alums: Jason The Jet Terry, Kenny G and Corey Dillon, Traq is only adding to the long line of talent before him. Hes here to represent not only Seattles, but the entire Northwests Hip-Hop scene. Our local artists are starving for bangers, and Im here to feed them, ask Serg. Side B of T.A.P.E., Serg is responsible for all the business aspects of running the company. Gifted and entrepreneurial-minded at a young age, Serg does business in his sleep. Growing up in Seattles High Point neighborhood, Serg has developed his business character through the obstacles he has overcome. A fellow alum of Franklins class of 2004, Serg went on to pursue his passion for business by studying at the University of Washington. Graduating with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with emphasis in accounting in 2008, Serg has added legitimacy to the hustle. We bring the elements of professionalism and quality to the game, not to mention Traqs versatility.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I do, but I had to take a break to focus on recording and producing. I did shows in and around the NW (Seattle, Portland, BC, etc.) Going on tour, meeting new people, working with artists, all that, that's me. I love the stage, that's 2nd home to me, but the lab is numero uno. Producer battles are really my thing. There was this one time when I was in this producer battle, I was the last up. The judge was still taking note on the last beat, and my beat plays...my words can't explain the feeling, but I remember the kat that was judging starts bobbing his head, and I don't know if he thought the battle was over or something, but this guy looks up at me and says, "That's you?!?" I guess he thought the sound man was playing filler music or something.
