Traffic Skank are a crew of four Drum N Bass heads currently based in Leicester. Ben Overton (Illicit), Luke Hughes (DJ Drowzee), Jon Forrester (Pinokio) & Harry Houghton guitarist of 'Bacchus'.
Collectively producing DnB combining each of their influences and ideas into a uniquely deep sound.
Illicit, emcee and producer for 5 years with his roots in hiphop has played out in venues around the midlands and appeared on the FM waves on stations like Switch & Demon. Over the past few years he has tuned a style of production that brings a fresh sound to the scene. On the mic where possible, Illicit merges into the bass and live rinse out alongside DJ Drowzee. Having rinsed the decks for over 6 years and played out on radio and in venues in Notts and Leicester, the Zilla is soon to burn the scene with the turntables. Jumping on mixtapes with tight double-drops & air-tight mixing, Drowzee and co-producer/DJ, Pinokio will be dropping live mixes featuring the latest 'Traffic Skank' tunes soon! Jon Forrester, guitarist of four years and talents on piano add to the diversity of the music. Harry Houghton, appears on several tracks with virtuoso guitar skills to add another unique style into the progressive mix. Making big moves touring around Europe with his band 'Bacchus', Harry is expected to play festivals this year so keep an ear out for plenty of shredding solos amongst the heavy TS bass.
