We play original songs in classic styles: Blues Rock, Rock`n`Roll, Blues/Pop, Hard Rock, Country/Pop, Sixties Retro, etc..

Druha smena (The Other Shift) was founded by Milan Vymazal (vocals, keyboards), Zdenek Poklemba (guitars) and Juraj Suchon (drums) in 2001. Jaroslav Novotny (bass) joined a year later.

The bands philosophy is based on an argument about who is better: Beatles and Stones (Mr Vymazal asserts so) or Clapton and B.B. King (Mr Poklemba asserts so). The drummer Jirka Suchon usually agrees with everything and the bassist Jarda Novotny with nothing, just to be sure. This is the way how the necessary creative tension is generated. Its results can be heard at various rock (revival) festivals, motorbike meetings, school balls, etc.

We must also mention our American friends living in Olomouc, Czech Republic who write the lyrics for us. Thanks a lot, Mick and Michael, for the ongoing excellent collaboration.

"Dewing" by Druha smena is a New Age production available on SoundClick. It is the kind of track that finds the right moment to make itself heard. A solid entry in the new age space, crafted with care and intention. Producers searching for that Beatles, Rolling Stones and Clapton sound will find type-beat "Dewing" ready to license for free — with a royalty-free Creative Commons license on SoundClick.
