A journey started in 1996' while on summer vacation with family in Jacksonville, NC, Tonik has been consistantly rhyming, recording, collaborating and releasing material thru all forms including CD, Video, Internet, Social Networks, etc. After compiling a double CD called "The Growth of An MC", some if not most of this material before joining both groups hasnt been heard by a broad audience. The self proclaimed, S.P.S.(South Philly Star) is featured on countless mixtapes, albums, songs, singles, collaborations & videos. Soon to be released in 2012 is his first official album dubbed "South Philly Star Revealed" depicting in explicit detail his personal struggles of life thru his music wit fiercely lyrical yet brutal honesty unheard by most artist to date. Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes, very often and in multiple locations throughout the Philadelphia and surrounding states. The place i perform most frequently is The Grape Room - Manayunk, P.A. I love the always packed yet diverse crowd, the owner being a fan of both groups i'm affiliated with's music.

AZ, NAS, 2pac, Biggie, Kool G Rap, N.W.A., Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, Cormega, Nature, Half A Mil, State Property, Major Figgas, Beanie Sigel, Jay-Z, Royal Flush, etc, etc, etc, etc.
I played alto saxophone for 6 outta the 15yrs I've been an artist and used the musical theory I learn to strengthen my ear for music.
What equipment do you use?
I use Photoshop to make my album covers, FL Studios 9: Producer Edition to make beats, Adobe Audition to record (at ECOMOG studios).
Anything else?
IF U CAN IMAGINE, YOU CAN DO...........IF U WANT BETTER, WANT IT THEN GO GET IT!!!!!!
