A song I've been working on for a LONG time. Special thanks to Dave, John, Shawn, and the rest of the crew at Dino Rock for helping me get out of the rut I was in to write this one.
Overbored Overbored
This is another sample of a song from my upcoming instrumental CD. I'll have the full version up a bit later, but check it out and tell me what ya think!
TJ's Boogie TJ's Boogie
I know I haven't done anything in a while, but to assure you that I am still very much alive, here's a short little excerpt from a tune that I'll have fully done by summer!
Love And War Love And War
Time to stop the bleeding heart crap. Most of you who visit here know why I wrote this song and what it has to do with. On with life!

I am a self-taught musician and have been playing guitar for well over 20 years now. This is my attempt at distributing the music that I make here at home to my friends and anyone else who may enjoy it. It's very guitar oriented stuff along the heavier side of things.Band/artist history
As mentioned above, I've been playing for a long time. I originally started out on drums at the age of 5. Got my first guitar at age 7...and kinda picked it up, put it back down...yadda, yadda, yadda (you mean I just yadda, yadda'd guitar?)...and then got into the instrument full-bore around the age of 15. I've been recording instrumental work here out of the home for the past 10 years or so, but the digital age has really been magnificent. Gone are the days of the old analog 4-track!Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes, I do play live. I am a member of the band, . We play mainly in and around the midwest of America but hopefully we can expand on that in the future. The very first Half Track CD will be released in May of 2007 so hopefully all of my friends here can take a listen to what I do on that side of my career as well.
Your musical influences
Definitely Joe Satriani. The guy can make you leave your seat one second, and make you weep the next. INCREDIBLE player. Eddie Van Halen was an early influence. And since that time, I've gotten heavily into Eric Johnson, John Petrucci, and Brent Mason. What equipment do you use?
I use a ZOOM MRS 802B for recording. Best thing I've ever bought in my life. For live gigs, I'll be using an older model 5150 full stack. I use nothing for effects except for a reverb pedal. I WILL be forced to use a wah pedal when a cover song might call for it, but let me go on the record right now as saying that I absolutely hate them. At one time they were the coolest thing, but now every guitarist has to use his Cry-Baby in every solo he does. Why is that?

Love this one TJ. It is "Bad Ass Guitar Player" And YES all that all was a joke, although not very funny. Some of the music on my page is almost hard to listen to (with singing LOL) as I just did it to play around and haven't been back in years except here and there. I love guitar and you need to check out a local (to me) guitar player named Andy Timmons. He isn't local anymore as he is a professional, BUT is really great and an all around solid diverse player with a musical pallet that stretches Far and Wide. You sound Great and I will buy your CD when it comes out. Gary
Hi TJ:
Checking out your new tunes. "Overbored" is some white-hot guitar shredding, very well played. "Farmer's Pickle" has a fun rockabilly feel to it with Stray Cats style guitar picking. Voted everything hot. Thanks for stopping by.
Peace,
BILL W
