Formed at Northeastern University, Boston, MA when Rich Goldin and Larry Grab, , met in an English class. Grab noticed that Goldin had a guitar belt buckle and asked if he wished to start a band. The rest is history.
The first line-up featured: Rich Goldin, guitar; Dave DiDomenica, bass; Larry Grab, vocals; John Zadroga, Keyboards; Bryan Colp, guitar and Ron Parent; drums. There is a known recording of that line-up, but where is rests, we have yet to discover. Colp and Parent departed for regions unknown, leaving Goldin, DiDomenica, Grab and Zadroga to press on. Later in 1981, they auditioned John Allevato for drums. Allevato fit right in and that line-up went on to record some the tracks featured on this web site. The tracks were recorded in one night at Baker Street Studios, Watertown, MA. Listening back to the 2" masters, we can hear the raw talent that was to develop on the later recordings of Dreamer's Guess and Boston Street Walker featuring John Predergast on Keyboards. Predergast replaced original keyboardist John Zadroga.
The band took a different turn in 1983 after the departure of Larry Grab. Enter Bob Heselton who added a different vocal dimension. The band departed from the heavy guitar tones of the earlier line-up seeking a more textured keyboard driven sound.
New drummer Greg Smith filled out the line-up in 1983. You can hear the sound of the band as captured in performance from a mixing board mix at Jack's Pub, Cambridge, MA. Sadly, the band split at its peak; both in writing style and performance. We can be thankful for the internet where we can preserve these ancient gems from Boston's great rock past.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Perhaps a reunion in 2009.
