I am a singer/songwriter who grew up listening to 80's pop and couldn't seem to get away from it. (smile.) I started singing at 3 years old, and started recording at 13 when I got my first Casio SK-1 sampling keyboard. It's been a while since I've written a song, but I'm feeling inspired again, so be on the lookout!
Band/artist history
I was briefly lead singer for a band, was asked to be in a few more but decided it wasn't for me, and have collaborated with an extremely talented musician on some electronica/dance stuff.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I haven't played live. I prefer to record privately... not the public type.
Your musical influences
I grew up listening to Madonna - so she's my biggest influence. I've done a lot of Pat Benetar karaoke - but when I write, it all comes out pop.
What equipment do you use?
I use my PC. Various programs for home recording. I have a MIDI keyboard, a pro drum machine, and a decent microphone - but nothing fancy. Some of my earlier recordings were done on a karaoke machine so I could layer the vocals (before I got started on the PC.)
