Spoken Word

The Word Engineer has been spitting spoken word in ears for many years under the guise of improving consciousness. His words can be felt traveling the neurons of the cosmic inner self. Is that hype or what? He's simply a man doing what he loves to do, teach and entertain!
Band/artist history
I have been writing and publishing my works in book form since 1994. I did not publish my first audio until around 1998, but I have been on the air since 1997, and on the streets prior to that time period at open mic and other performances.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes. I also produce audio tracks for my spoken word utilizing guitars, keyboards, drums or whatever I have available to lay it out. I only perform my spoken word live with the music pre-recorded.
Your musical influences
I am old school. I like P-Funk, Rick James, but I do enjoy a mix of modern hip-hop, rock, too. You cannot top One Nation Under the Groove or Nirvana in my book--it's classic! When I lay out tracks for my spoken word the music is a spin on the emotions of my words so there is no telling what flavor will arise until it's recorded.
