Acoustic Folk

The Wayward Twigs originally started out as a theater group. Always up for an adventure into the unknown they coined the phrase "script driven improvisation", an attempt to make classic productions appear to be totally "off the cuff" so to speak. A disastrous production of H.G. Wells War of the Worlds left the thespian quartette wondering if it was their "controversial" and "groundbreaking" approach or just the flat out lack of man-power that left their audience so dreadfully confused. After much soul searching, a group trip to the Grand Canyon, and more than a few gallons of organic coconut water the four artists found their way into the warm embrace of the wings of the Phoenix and rose out of the ashes of one broken dream and into the arms of another. "We were reborn in that canyon". "We left a whole lot of baggage down there man, ...we learned a lot about ourselves, about each other, ...and about traveler's insurance".
Band/artist history
History is for the past: The Wayward Twigs live in the history we are currently creating, a history that we refer to as The Future! Ian Branson (the king of cool) - Six String Acoustic Guitar Brother Danial (nuf said) - also Six String Acoustic Guitar Betty Cakes (hot ladie, hot pipes) - Vox "The Center" ( ...) - Six String Semi-Acoustic Guitar
Have you performed in front of an audience?
No, well I mean we did once, it was awful. That is why we are looking so very much forward to this whole reunion thing. The positive is the fact that almost no one saw us the first time around so we figured that after enough time we would have a second shot at reliving what we failed to achieve the first time and really "wow" everyone. as they say... redemption is a dish best served cold.
Your musical influences
Burnie and the Hot Tops, Pointy Bag in the Dark, Pushy and the Piss Ticklers, Chopin.
What equipment do you use?
All of it, absolutely all of it man.
Anything else?
*HONESTLY* We have had a lot of fun making this profile, but we also really enjoy what we do, should have our new songs up soon. Working on new stuff and this is a great place to share it. Looking forward to playing live again as well.
