The Screaming Kids
The zenith of modern musical landscaping.
I didn't actually come up with the riffs for this one, or the actual words, but I was the drummer in the band that wrote the song. Kind of a Lars Ulrich/James Hetfield kind of relationship.

The first song of a cycle currently being written, using the poetry of an old friend. Minimalist in nature, and very experimental. It is what it is.

The Screaming Kids are really just one kid. As a one man band out of the Boston, MA area, the screaming kids seek to aliviate the world of the horribly redundant and incredibly boring crap that is modern pop/rock/radio-worthy music. Of course, everyone else is trying to do that too, but the screaming kids have their (his) own way of doing things.
The band would love to play live, but it's hard to play a drum kit, two guitars, bass, and sing anywhere from 1 to 8 vocal parts when the band only has one member.
Our influences are quickly recognized as the early 90's rock sound (a la "grunge"), with particular appreciation for Alice In Chains. Pearl Jam is also a favorite, as well as Soundgarden. Other influences include Tourniquet, Metallica, Dream Theater, Yes, The Beatles, Jerry Cantrell's solo work, Stravinsky, Shoenberg, Mozart, and Verdi.
We truly are influenced by every type of music on the planet. Don't try to pigeon-hole this band. You'll be wrong. :o)
