Hi, we're the Scarlet Tuesday, a ten legged monster hailing from Sheffield, UK. We play music that we like to describe as indie pop/power pop. We get compared a lot to bands like Ash, the Delgados, the Shins and Bearsuit, but we don't think we sound particularly like any of them. We prefer to describe ourselves as a musical sugar rush and hope these songs will make you dance!
We formed initially under the name Peloton in 2002. After a year or two of slogging we took a break, to resurface under the name The Scarlet Tuesday in 2004. Our fifth member Elie was added in 2005 and since then we've stepped up a gear, releasing our first single 'A Perfect Quarter' in February 2006 and being featured on Sheffield compilation 'Knives And Forks' in autumn 2005.
We currently play all over the midlands and are always looking for new dates.
