Basically we listened just listened to some Doors and came up with our own tribute to the band.
The Scaramangas are completely hooked on the mellow and sweet sounds of glowing tubes,tape reels and plate reverbs. And going to furthest extrems with non-linear editing and getting the maximum out of software processing to get their uniqe brand of alternative groove pop to the masses. The songwriting is like a group of faboulous lad from swinging london in the psychedelic sixties who meets a gang of 21th century shoegazing indie freaks with a sense of stunning pop-melodies. Its quite Indie, quite happy, sometimes sad or depressingly wierd, usually groovy and always highly individual.

The Scaramangas has been around since 2000.
It started out as quite a harmless guitar-pop group with jangly guitars and the occasional outburst of distortion and feedback. Martin and J-P was sporting some wellcrafted interplay with their Telcasters and Fender Combos. Untill Kim along with hid Roland Juno-60 and Rhodes. It emerged into a disillusioned fistfight between evryone over what to do and what not to do.Eventually Joonas started spitting out demos using the softwareprogram Guitar Pro. Funny little tunes with the most akward sounds and rhythms and started stearing the material into deeper voids of indie and alternative genres. Apparently everyone grew older and matured artistically and so the music today is a wellcrafted mishmash of everything.Have you performed in front of an audience?The band is constantly playing as many live dates as possible and have done so since the year 2000. Usually about 35 minute sets containing of brand new material every time

Everything from 60s Nuggets to Sonic Youth.
Interpol, Trail Of Dead, Supergrass, Beatles, The Coral, The Vines, Unwound, Neil Young, Kevin, Botnledja, The Strokes, Big Elf, Oneida, Burt Bacharach.
From Radiohead to 70s progressive stuff like King Crimson and Genesis. So there is alot going on.What equipment do you use?
-Martin plays a plastic Hohner melodica and a Guild acoustic guitar.
-J-P uses Gibson SGs through a bunch of overdrives,distortions, a tremolo and a Holy Grail reverb into a 1973 Orange OR120 amp.
-Kim plays the Fender Rhodes, a Phillips Philicorda and a Roland Juno-60 amplified by his 76 Fender Twin Reverb
-Joonas has a seventies Fender Jazz Bass and a Vox AC-50 head with two 1x15" cabs
-Matias plays the drums
