They say good things come to those who wait. For over 16 years, Chris Pilly has patiently waited for his opportunity to be recognized in Flint as a music figure.. Through years of hard work and dedication, Pilly has made his mark on the Flint music scene. From his humble beginnings in Flints' River Village and the east side streets, to now helping orchestrate the re-rise of The Mexican Mack, (aka) Tony Stone. With the Hip Hop cultural came the greatest inspirational legends such as, Pete Rock, Rakim, Dj Red alert, Dj Premier, 45 king, Slick Rick, and Run DMC. Flint Michigan native Chris Pilly (aka) Big Stos, Pilly has been rhyming, producing, and sampling music since the early 90’s. Influenced by such groups and albums like, Gangstarr's "step into the arena", Nas, Rakim, Lord Finesse, Pharcyde, Tupac, Common Sense, and N.W.A. Pilly was truly drawn to emceeing and rhyming, however, it wasn't until the age of 10 when he began writing his own lyrics. Inspired by Local freestyle battles and older mcees from the Flint area, he began collaborating with friends to record tracks and released his first ep with high school friend Aaron (double a Ambrose) Entitled Lost Cauz, and enjoyed working with Flint area producers. Trying to escape The Flint sound, Pilly then decided to take things into his own hands. He would now begin his venture as an mcee, producer, and show promoter. In 2006 Chris met a long time rap legend from the Flint area named Tony Stone(Aka The Mexican Mack). Since then Pilly has been doing his part in Stones much anticipated release Tony Stone " Cast the first stone", due to be released sometime in 2007. Stones lyrical wittiness and ability to control crowds has helped RawDawg Productions become a known name in the Tri City area. For Tony Stone there is no alternative. The ambitious rap trailblazer continues to represent his beloved Flint City with a pride and ferocity that has made the emcee one of hip-hop's sickest unsigned talents...
