i have been making beats for about 2 years. i use FL studio 4.

im really into metal music... Trivium, Deftones, Chimaira, Flaw, 40 Below Summer, (flaw and 40 below have merged and are called Black Market Hero), Mushroomhead, MudVayne, Dry Kill Logic, Sevendust, Dark New Day, Ill Nino, and i also am influenced by some rap artist like Lil Wyte, T.I., and Dr. Dre.
What equipment do you use?
FL studio 4. i have a bass guitar, and sometimes use real instruments to come up with beats then put them on FL studio 4.
