thePassing is a modern rock band hailing from barren Mojave Desert. With little else to do these young guys decided to take up music as their hobby. Their "hobby" quickly became their passion. The band formed in 1999 writing material that is now looked back on and laughed at! The band quickly matured into a more serious and aggressive style of "rock" music.
thePassing released their first demo in 2001 and began to play shows all over Southern California. After a short hiatus in 2002, the band reformed with a few new members, a fresh vision and an even harder sound.
Audiences can expect to hear and experience a high energy rock show. thePassing's music has sounds of contemporaries such as: Stavesacre, Project 86 and Chevelle. With heavy guitars, a tight rhythm section, and edgy vocals tearing through these honest heart driven songs, thePassing will leave listeners wanting more...
