Rarely are there instances where great talent and potential are so obvious that even Nay Sayers can do nothing but acknowledge. Shion born Romeo Etienne is a half Haitian and half Dominican sensation hailing from Yonkers, NY. No stranger to hardships he was born in Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY to a crack addicted mother and an absentee father. Looking at the man himself it is hard to believe that a person who has come from nothing can make himself to such a crafty artist. In Shion's early years he dealt with physical and emotional abuse as a child. He was bounced from foster home to foster home before he came to White Plains, NY. Where he received limitless love from his foster mother Gail Bush who raised him. "That's where I learned how to love others as well as myself ". When speaking of his Foster mother he states “I never referred to her as my foster mother, she raised and cared for me, therefore she is my mother ". With all odds against him Shion still rises to the top and is dedicated to creating art much like real artists used to do simply for their love of music. At an early age he discovered his love for music, not just hip-hop but all genres. His cousin "Lex" became his mentor teaching him how to rhyme and even allowing the young budding artist a chance to show off his talents. He started writing poetry as a coping mechanism to let out the pain he dealt with in his early life. “I can still remember the first rap albums I owned; Illmatic, Ready to Die, and Hard Knock Life. Those albums spoke to me the deepest because it showcased the struggles that I could relate to; I really felt a connection with the artists. Listening to these artists made me realize what I was born to do”. After Rapping for 7 years he is ready to present to the world an undeniable workHave you performed in front of an audience?of course lol
