The John C.Marshall Band or Band's, A jazzy kind of R&B concept, mosly arranged or re arranged titles, and orrigionals from JCM or members of the band, With plenty of room for solists improvisation, I like to think of it as "a good time party jazzband" it can range from Trio to full standard Big Band, But my favourit combination is the octet, four horns,Piano, bass&drums, and myself vocal and guitar. . . . . . .
Band/artist history
John C. Marshall, the London born Guitarist/Singer, who is also an established composer and arranger, has through the years become recognised for his "Bluesy-Jazzy" approach to music. His fame as a Jazz and Blues guitarist led him through the years to accompanying some of the greatest artists in the Jazz and Blues field on recordings and TV shows; Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Ben E. King, Rosa King, Gene "Mighty Flea" Conners, Tyree Glenn, Chet Baker, Ingram Washington to mention a few... John has appeared for television in many countries (the US, in Europe and the Middle East) and on most of the international Jazz festivals. He was involved in the television series "Let's Swing" which was broadcasted in many countries around the world with artists like: Slide Hampton, Carmel Jones, Wilton Gaynair, Sal Nistico, Dave Kamien, Bert Thompson and Willie Ketzer. He also participated in the "Olympic Rock 'n Blues Circus" with Chris Farlowe, John Lord, Brian Auger, Pete York, Jeff Reynolds, Andrew Pet, Colin Hodgkinson and Jim Campagnola. John C. Marshall was also, and is still, an integral member of bands such as Advanced Warning, Stepping Out, the RTL Television Big Band, Juicy Organism and many more And is always on the road Again
