Band/artist history
The JamJets : ....presents Blues with a raw edge as well as rendering their own version of modern songs in their own style. The name of the game is entertainment in the Jump Blues way ! The Band started gigging in January 1995 and are celebrating 11 years entertaining crowds. The JamJets comprise of; Roger Cufone - Lead Vocals and a roaring harp, Paul Fragomelli - on a Twangin Memphis Guitar, Francis Macri - on his Finger Slapin Double Bass, and Dave Toots - on Snapin Stand Up Drums. With Roj and Paul trading blues licks over the Rock-a-billy backbone that Dave and Francis lay down; toe-tappin and foot stompin no longer become an option! Youre bound to get caught up in their fun, infectious brand of blues! The band covers material from the blues legends to Elvis to their original work. (Look out for their cd; available on their website: jamjets.com and at their gigs) The JamJets have played and entertained all over South Australia. Rojs roaring harmonica and nomadic tours of venues while blasting out licks, have entertained and surprised punters for years! Hes often seen at the bar, a table or mingling in a crowd giving everyone a close encounter with the blues! Backed up with the chunky rock-a-billy rhythm section of Davess stand up drumming and Francis slap bass playing, add the slick licks from Pauls guitar and you have entertainment the jump Blues way. The emphasis is on enjoyment and entertainment and Roj and the Jam Jets certainly deliver. As the 1997 Victor Harbour Folk Festival program stated, Up front are Roj and his roaring harmonica taking charge of his 3 piece boogie woogie machine playing infectious rhythms with catchy melodies; a band you wont want to miss!
