The Jack Nicholson's Toilet Seeds
Poppy easy listening hardcore punk-core with an (non-straight) edge.

The Jack Nicholson's Toilet Seeds are five guys from Holland. They're influenced by 70's punk, 80's pop and 90's hardcore. Instead of using these influences one at a time, they use them all, all the time.
The Toilet Seeds don't do 'samples', all songs here are 'full-versions' - even the very short ones. All songs are recorded with four tracks max and some even with only one track (ok two; check out that Automatic Gain Control!)Band/artist history
It's been more than ten years since a group of friends decided that the eighties were not going to produce any music worth listening to unless drastic measures were taken: They started a band. The original line-up was Rob (vocals), Ralph (guitar), Oscar (base) and Frank K (drums), the original goal: to reanimate old punk songs of bands like The Buzzcocks, XTC, Wire and The Stranglers.
It was then, with a playlist of six songs, that Jasper joined the band. Originally as the designated keyboard player but as soon as the band discovered his guitar-playing abilities, as the second guitar player. Also around this time the band wrote its first song: Neighbours Dog.
More songs were written and some gigs were had and it became clear that Frank was not the drummer for this band (if for any). The rest of the band decided to give him the boot and started looking for a new drummer. They found Peter.
Peter meant changes for the band: songs got played faster, more songs were written in lesser time, and songs got more complicated. Again, the band went ahead and played some gigs, but not to many. The Toilet Seeds proved to be lazy slobs when it came down to recording a decent demo.
Years crawled by, and songs came and went, then all the equipment went (got stolen, is a better way to put it...) and finally it almost looked like it would be over...
Or did it? The Toilet Seeds again found another drummer (JP) and found you could use other peoples equipement just as well as your own.Have you performed in front of an audience? The Toilet Seeds are a very exclusive band (they are too lazy to send out demo tapes). They like to play live but almost never do so (because no-body ever asks). There is, however, one big plus in playing so rarely: Every gig is a very special moment.
Your musical influences
OK: I'll give you some names: BuzzCocks, XTC, Butthole Surfers, Dead Kennedys, Pixies, Splint, NO-FX, Bach & Beethoven, Boeing & Airbus. What equipment do you use?
Since our own equipment got stolen, we are using any equipement that we can get our hands on and works. ("Thank you" if it's yours!)Anything else?
Pfffffrrrrt. That pretty much says it all. O, by the way: we've got another .
