Mastered version of the first single from our self titled EP. Play it loud. Tell your friends.
"We arent trying to reinvent the wheel, we are just playing the music we love the best we possibly can" states Interns bassist Tony Hartman. Since their inception in February of 1999, The Interns have matured and evolved into one of Cleveland Ohio's prominent rock groups, released two EPs and a full length CD, logged tens of thousands of touring miles, performed for two consecutive years on the Vans Warped Tour, and established a very reputable local and regional fan base. That is quite a list of accomplishments for a group of twenty something's hailing from a town with one traffic light.
The Interns sound is rooted in a number of different genres; rock n roll, radio pop, and new wave among others. The Cure, The Gin Blossoms, Braid, The Stryder, The Foo Fighters, and The Pixies are just a few of the bands its members can agree have influenced their sound over the years. The band's sound has been described as a blend of early nineties post punk in the vein of Braid or Sunny Day Real Estate and more modern rock n roll bands such as The Foo Fighters or the Goo Goo Dolls. Lyrically, the band deals with subjects including, but not limited too, life, love, and growing up.
The Interns musical progression can be credited to their active tour schedule. Having played 100 plus dates a year, for the past two years, The Interns have been fortunate to share the stage with the likes of: Taking Back Sunday, The Ataris, Homegrown, The Lawrence Arms, Brand New, appeared on the Vans Warped Tour in addition to completing several regional tours a year.
Upon the release of their self titled EP in February 2004, the Interns intend on taking their self promotion to a new level embarking on their first national tour and utilizing an already strong street team in hopes of bringing their music to anyone who might enjoy it.Band/artist history
