Band/artist history
The Illements were brought together through older artistic ventures(read: Ill brothaz emerging from a wack-turned-into-gimmick group). Meeting in Greenside High School The Illements like-minded tastes in hip-hop & general issues led to a few sessions of artistic correspondence(read: Ill Brothaz busting scripts tryna out-do each other). The duo soon made there presence felt & dominated Greensides daily ciphers(read: Ill brothaz doing what Ill brothaz do)de-throning the schools top MCs(you know its true Septic!!!)& opening up fellow students to new forms of expression. The Illlements' first group recording was in '05. The recording was gutter. literally. Recording in Illites bedroom, with half a mic soundproofed in a mass of pillows which they had to throw at each other QUICKLY between verses on an old stereos KARAOKE FUNCTION the group recorded tracks over: Madvillain-Rhinestone Cowboy Busta Rhymes-The Worlds Greatest Jewelry Heist Nas-Youre Da Man Wu-Tang Clans-One Blood Wyclef Jean-Were Fugees at? & other joints which they just liked the beats on! Futher gutter-ness was added by the fact that the tracks weren't instrumentals, & even an unattentive listener could hear the original joints playing underneathe the Illements jam! The Ilements graduated to their friend Daniels & began recording anew with better quality(Check out Two Men Made of Steel to peep it) From there the squad grew...& continues to do so!!!Have you performed in front of an audience?Weve only had a coupla shows thus far but only 2 were dissapointments(btw: The Illements have only done 3 shows)
