The Fritz would like to think they sound like Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, John Entwhistle, Bradley Nowell, John Bonham and Miles Davis all wrote some music and formed a band together. In reality, The Fritz is four high school friends from Toledo who started a band together in December of 2008 and said "Let's not focus on what genre of music we play, let's focus on making on the best music we possibly can." That said, we know we tend to lean towards a few specific genres though - classic rock and reggae with a bit pop, blues and world mixed in.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We have a great time playing our music but it's even better if there are other people there to enjoyed it as much as we do. We've played house parties, theatres, bars, concert halls, etc. Playing for 300 of our fellow students at our school's annual start of spring break "Dance-O-Rama" has probably been our best moment yet.
Your musical influences
Our most recognizable influences are probably The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, Cream, The Cure and Sublime. That said, everyone in the band comes from a vastly different musical background and we have influences ranging from The Spin Doctors to Herbie Hancock to The Jonas Brothers to Anti Flag to Iron Maiden.
