FEWTURE is a Producer/Rapper out of College Park, Ga. who's name has been gaining notoriety in Atlanta the past couple of years off the strength of his "classic album" styled beats and his "NARRATIVE" live performances captivating the audiences and employees at the clubs and venues. Once at the Royal Peacock, A now defuct ATL nightclub known for hosting weekly wild reggae parties and ATL radio open mics; Fewture, then known as Ghetty, was called on to perform three different times with three different groups to perform verses on songs they were pushing, after the last group went off and FEWTURE was called to perform, the host Akini the black Mack, from hot107.9 fame, stopped the showcase and asked him if I really worked that hard or if I set it up!, LOL, but the groups didn't know each other and FEWTURE paid late to get in and extra to perform, he's since worked on that.lol. After releasing three promo ep's & 1 single(Take Home, Frankenstein & Milky; Party Pack feat. Grip Plyaz), and producing for and working with new, up and coming acts(P.Dukes, Grip Plyaz, Graham Knox, Suga Suga, E-Man, and MR. DJ of Outkast/Dungeon Fam, & the late, great, J. Slick) Fewture is finding new-found success and rising to the top of this new crop of emcees and producers in 2010. Dj's and industry tastemakers have embraced the mixtape and its bangers(Off the Meter, SKYPE, TAKE NOTES, I WISH, NO SLEEP) while anticipating his two new ones scheduled to drop in Jan/Feb.: "EUROCASH:POPULAR EXPLORATION" & "WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE". With the current mix-tapes fast growth in local high school's and in college party and ipod rotation, It pretty much secures that FEWTURE will be the next rising talent out of ATL, Ga. to rep his city and state on a national scale!Band/artist history
Im the fewture, how should I know, I just kind of happened in 2007-08. I think it was a kind of epiphany. I was on the toilet droppin the kids off at the pool, rollin a L. and I just started spittin, like not the kind of rap where youre like lets have a cypher for fun. Nah, this was like cut the check material, it was surreal. I aint even realize that I put the L down in the tub, but you know I did the cleanliness thing wipe flush wash, you know and went out to the booth, cut on a track and went in.Have you performed in front of an audience?I perform in Atlanta Ga., in the city mostly. The Artistry, MJQ/Drunken Unicorn, THROBACKS, CLUB RITZ(OLD NATIONAL HWY), VIBE MUSIC FEST, BET SPRING BLING, Club Crucial, Apache Cafe, The Poole Palace, Club Breezes(McDounough, Ga.). The best time was at Vibe Music fest in Atlanta. Me and my group Countree Noise were up there and we made it to the finals the last three groups. We had the crowd rockin with us, like literally rockin to a song they had never, ever heard before, people were up dancing, old ladies and all, T-BOZ, from TLC, Vibes music editor at the time(forget his name, but big-big-big shouts homie!) and we were up there four young cats from the streets of atlanta who didnt know wanyone or anything at the time, all the way form winning it on the net to this....and we lost.lol. But the whole crowd was displeased, the hosts tried to default it so we could win cause the other group went to go change into some costumes, but they came running in and the hosts said " Dang Countree Noise, we tried to get you in there, you dudes rocked it and you deserve it". It felt good because I know that me and my group were above the politrix of the industry, that we were that good.
Your musical influences
I like the music from the 70's. It was like the last original music, like originally composed and made organically with live people. It was a collection of minds on one song, at the same time, on one track...pure beautiful pandemonium. Everything is sampled for there, so what are we doing? Im currently planning on getting a band together a la roots, i guess. What equipment do you use?
Everything and anything available at the time, mpcs, little beat machines, ipods, iphones, tables, for real man I just be tryin ish, once its mixed no one knows you were broke and had to make the drum or snare the pros pay money to the companies for...Just gotta mix it in.Anything else?
Check out my music, Of course I think its great but like, let me know what you think. Hit me up or text me at 770-837-5410 for collabs, constructive criticism, and inquiries on mixing and tracks.
