The Demountables are 4 lads from the North East of England inspired mainly by Great British Rock 'n' Roll music.Band/artist history
We started out playing covers just after myself (Harker) and Gareth had finished school. Phil joined as bass player a few months later and we continued to get ready to gig. Got our first gig in Aug '04 which looked like being our last when myself and Tim annnounced we'd be moving away. I ended up moving back after 2 weeks and tried getting something going with little luck. Tim eventually moved back home almost a year later and that brings us to Sept '05. We then started to get things back up and running as well as beginning to write our own material. Made our comeback gig at the end of '05 and have been gigging our original material regularly since, impressing many as we go...Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes we do, wherever and whenever. Mainly the North East of England with a couple of ventures down south coming up.
Your musical influences
Great British Rock n Roll music... 60s, punk, new wave, britpop... Bands suchs as The Clash, Jam, Small Faces, Libertines, Futureheads, Toy Dolls, Who, could be said to influence our sound. Listen to such a varied mixture nowadays though that I'd end up going on for ages...What equipment do you use?
A sparkly pink drum kit & a couple of amps nd mics is all we need.Anything else?
