"In the same vein as Doves, Coldplay, or Longwave, The Color Turning is emotive and accessible, yet devoid of insincere saccharine. There is a synergy that exists between these five who share, among so much more, a voracious appetite for innovation, change, and growth. They are a band willing to do anything to create sound, never for a moment sacrificing the songs to unaccessible experimentation or "noise for the sake of noise". With an intense live show, The Color Turning have been known to use so many instruments that they, at times, seem more like a small orchestra than a standard rock five-piece."Have you performed in front of an audience?I couldn't tell you with any degee of certainty which we prefer: playing live or being in the studio. They're completely different, and we look forward to the live shows for those different reasons. We love playing anywhere really...we do prefer that there be at least an audience though(laughs). My personal favorite moment was a show we did recently where we had been asked to do an acousitc set...in color turning fashion, we didn't go fully acoustic and also re-arranged all our songs with different instruments, etc. that was a great time, like jumping out of an airplane really, having some degree of confidence that the chute will open, but you can never be quite sure.
