The Ceiling Fan brings a lot to the table with Mike Arone and his lyrical piano style, along with Scott Sweeney and his melodic guitar methods. Both guys take inspiration from songwriting greats like Simon & Garfunkel and the Beatles, but also rock out to The Who, The Allman Brothers Band, and countless others. Scotts six-string creativity comes from many moves, ranging from Miami to DC and the spaces in between, along with several school and lifestyle changes. After a couple of bands, solo seemed to be Scotts indefinite direction, until meeting up with Mike, equipped with a passionate approach to lyricism and a gift for harmony. Mikes been playing piano for ten years and has dabbled in a couple of bands until concentrating on The Ceiling Fan. He has a love for jazz, and not-so-much a love for bad lines in songs. I found you quite by accident, and boy am I glad I did! I LOVE your music! Interesting lyrics, strong and clear vocals...I have been enjoying your songs all night! Your somewhat eclectic stylings made it difficult to choose a favorite because they were all so unique. Oh, but how I did like "The Man."

hey mike hope you read this sometime soon. my email is bblankem@email.unc.edu, so just hit me up when you have some info about recording so I can adjust my work schedule around it. also if you have any ideas for the bass parts on the songs just tell me.
