Acoustic Guitar

The Ceiling Fan brings a lot to the table with Mike Arone and his lyrical piano style, along with Scott Sweeney and his melodic guitar methods. Both guys take inspiration from songwriting greats like Simon & Garfunkel and the Beatles, but also rock out to The Who, The Allman Brothers Band, and countless others. Scott’s six-string creativity comes from many moves, ranging from Miami to DC and the spaces in between, along with several school and lifestyle changes. After a couple of bands, solo seemed to be Scott’s indefinite direction, until meeting up with Mike, equipped with a passionate approach to lyricism and a gift for harmony. Mike’s been playing piano for ten years and has dabbled in a couple of bands until concentrating on The Ceiling Fan. He has a love for jazz, and not-so-much a love for “bad lines” in songs. Together, these guys craft hooky, distinctive songs with a unique blend of sound and soul that ultimately is The Ceiling Fan.
